Extraction of swarf and welding fumes

A producer of cold-rolled steel profiles has more than 35 production lines. Some of these lines are used continuously to weld, grind and polish.

A lot of steel swarf and welding fumes are released in these processing zones.

Typhoon supplied a hydrocyclone with an internal fan of 15kW for a flow rate of 11,000m³/h.
The hydrocyclone uses water to achieve a separating effect, meaning that all dust particles are taken up.

The dust is removed from the device as sediment via an automatic doctor blade system.
